At PARRILLA “Antigua Querencia”, the grill takes center stage. Patrons rave about the provoleta napolitana—a delectable cheesy delight that perfectly complements the star of the show, the entraña (skirt steak). Accompanied by crispy fries, this dish captures the spirit of rustic Argentine asado. And don’t forget to try their traditional drink: the sifón. This soda served from a bottle is a staple that embodies local culture.
The charm of this neighborhood parrilla is encapsulated in the words of satisfied customers. For instance, one diner expressed delight in the authentic experience, favoring it over more touristy options. With dishes like tiro de asada (cross-cut short ribs) and chorizo, the menu offers generous portions that not only fill the belly but also the heart. “You leave stuffed to the gills,” said one visitor, highlighting both the quality and portion size that represents excellent value.
Reviewers consistently mention the warmth of the staff, who are eager to assist and provide recommendations, particularly for those less familiar with Argentine dining customs. One happy customer noted how the tortilla de papas is served as a delightful starter, showcasing the establishment’s commitment to thoughtful service and a satisfying overall experience.
But it’s not just about the main courses. Diners recommend indulging in the classic flan con dulce de leche for dessert—an elegant ending to a hearty meal that encapsulates the sweetness of Argentinian cuisine.

“ Very good meat at affordable price. Try the flan con dulce de leche ”
“ Simple and delicious asado. Don’t expect something too special. ”
“ I’m tremendously happy I chose this neighborhood parrilla over the famous and formal one a few blocks away. This is a true neighborhood parrilla, and it’s delightful to feel part of the neighborhood while at the same time enjoying a lovely meal. As a “yanqui”, I can be clumsy ordering, but the waitress was wonderfully patient and made excellent recommendations. They brought a small portion of tortilla de papas to the table automatically. I ordered a half-portion of tiro de asada (cross-cut short ribs), mashed potatoes, and chorizo (the sausage… not the bife de chorizo, which I think is sirloin in English). This was enough to leave me stuffed to the gills and with a second full meal to bring home. The meat was perfect (medium well, but still juicy enough for someone who is accustomed to ordering meat medium). Taking into account the exchange rate, the bill came to around $11 (USD). My only regret is that I didn’t bring friends so we could try more dishes. I love this neighborhood spot! ”

“ Great parrilla place in Almagro. We ordered provoleta napolitana and entraña with fries. Try soda drink.l, they will bring you a bottle called sifón, typical in Argentina. ”
